In the West, people's freedom of speech is limited by
defamation laws, national security considerations, and political correctness.
- Defamation - people are forbidden from making statements which damage
someone else's reputation.
- Security - people are forbidden from giving information which may threaten
their host country's sovereignty.
- Political Correctness - people who threaten the tenets of political
correctness are subject to harassment and threats of physical violence.
