In practice, it is an ideology which promotes and glorifies any other culture, while debasing any Western culture. It is a western-debasing form of cultural relativism, which promotes the idea that even a totally intolerant and aggressive foreign culture is good, and that any criticism of those values is unacceptable.

Paying people to be different might make them feel good, but it doesn't exactly create a cohesive or harmonic society.
