The notion of a victimless crime is an idiocy. Laws which claim to stop general members of society from hurting themselves are immoral. By telling someone else what is good for them, you are patronizing them and implicitly making claim that you are better than they are.

This is not to say that a crime has to have a complainant. A crime is still a crime if it is committed against someone who cannot protest, or whom cannot be identified.
