A couple of my Lefty mates got very upset about the musuem looting - especially when I joked that perhaps we could invite the looters into a few our PC museums here in Australia. The anti-war crowd are looking for one, big, iconic 'blasphemy' they can pin on the US - a Jenin Massacre, a My Lai etc. To the Left this "desecration" of "hallowed ground" (a museum - in Australia the modern PC cathedral) is probably almost good enough.
No actual Iraqis were hurt (and maybe there is a slight increase in the liquidity of the Iraqi economy ...) but it will go down as one of the Crimes of War.
How about an ICC prosecution ?
