I assure you I have lived in Canberra for enough years of my life to know what I am talking about.

Actually, last time I checked the figures, 60% of workers in Canberra worked for the government or in positions which mostly directly serviced government departments. If that figure has changed, please let me know.

If it is still correct, then it's fair enough to stereotype the majority of Canberrans as people who live with their hands in other people's pockets.

>> Not every1 has rich families to replace what they have lost.

True, but the median income in Canberra is the highest in the country, and it's mostly money taken by force from the rest of Australia. Do you really expect their sympathy?

The rest of Australia has the right to decide what makes them happy or not. Strange that you think they have an obligation to share your values, as well as give you money.

>> Get a life whoever(STRAWMAN) wrote this article..just cause Johnny Howard lives
>> here sometimes..

Actually Johnny lives in Sydney in Kirrabilly house. He refused to live in Canberra because he didn't think Canberra was representative of Australia. This snubbing of Canberra has made him even more hated by Canberra's public servants.

>> doesnt mean ever1 here voted for him..

Actually few Canberrans vote for him. They dislike his rhetoric about small government (which implies a smaller public-service feeding trough, and less promotional opportunities). Of course Johnny's reality is quite different, he's the highest taxing PM in Australia's history, but Canberrans (like you) still hate him because he doesn't say nice things about them.

>> POLITICS SUX NOT CANBERRA! The WCC spits on this article, rips it up, and
>> puts it in the bin.

Is that the WCC collective who things those things? Do the individual members have an opinion, or do they just acquiesce to the collective opinion in typical Canberran style?
