AnonCow, I too line up once a year in the Centerlink office to hand
in the forms to collect my 'I'm-victim-because-I-have-kids'
payment (and do pretty well out of it too!). I think they payments are deplorable, but I'm not stupid. If a thief is handing out $100 bills on the street, I'll line up with everyone else. That doesn't mean I approve of the theft. You supply (quite valid) criticisms of successive governments and then blame Kerry Packer? Get real! The remedy for
government corruption and incompetence is not bigger, more powerful government.
