Islam truly is a religion of peace. But there are problems: the unwashed masses revere Muhammad as a demi God, which not personifying him tried to do exactly the opposite - and his entire life is seen as holy and an example to follow. Muslims shouldn't follow his example, they should follow what he wrote when Allah told him to write. So if Muslims can either follow a medieval warlord or the pietic religion which is similar to Judaism, which he happened to start.
