think you can blame this one on political correctness. It's the staunch
conservatives who refuse to recognize that someone can have more than one wife
(or husband). If you have four defacto 'wives', and three of them collect the
single parenting pension, you are presumably breaking no government law. It's a bit like Queen Victoria refusing to legislate against lesbianism because
'women don't do that kind of thing'. The mind-set just won't cope with it.
.. and I don't believe I wrote something defending The Left. Oh well, it had to
happen someday on a libertarian forum. :)
