If it results in the re-opening of Bouganville copper it will be a worthwhile exercise, although there seems to be a reluctance on the part of Australian governments to send bills for these sort of actions- just look at East Timor; they had the hide to bitch about the terms of the Timor Gap treaty, after we spent a shitload on kicking out the Indonesians (who were prepared to sign over 90% of all fields just quietly).
