i for one wouldnt let the french anywhere near iraq. not after they sold saddam a 4 billion dollar weapons grade reactor. your analysis rests on the fact that the rebuilding contracts will be paid for by iraqi oil, which at least initially isnt true, its coming straight out of the american taxpayer, as i understand it. furthermore, since the US (and british) are paying for the toppling of saddam its reasonable that they get the contracts, even if they are eventually ofset by iraqi oil.
