Part Two >> >> "Sadly this may be true, but my postings also attract people who are after more
>> >> than dry economic arguments about the free market. Politics is not just for the
>> >> intellectual elite - it affects everyone." >> yes politics are not just for the intellectual elite, so you should know better
>> than to attack and belittle the very people who are not intellectuals Katie - are you suggesting that I should avoid criticism of people because they
are not intellectuals? That would be discrimination. Socioeconomic
status is not an excuse for hypocrisy - whether it's high or low. >>( people
>> from lower socioeconomic backgrounds and limited educational opportunities are
>> unfortunately more likely to present with some of the very issues you attack ) Katie, it really doesn't take an intellectual to know that eating too much
makes you fat does it? Even people who have never been to a Wimmins Studies
lecture actually know this. And they make their choices with this
knowledge. They are not victims - just the results of their own choices. >> What a hypocrite you are to say you are defendning everyones right to
>> participate in free speech, while attacking the "everyone". Having agreed (in another post) that people have the right to free speech (and
the right of reply) could you tell me what is hypocritical about both defending
free speech and criticizing people? Hmm? >> Again, perhaps a
>> bit of balanced education would do YOU good. Ahh, yes - the holy grail of a balanced education: Balanced Education: an education which promotes your own biases on the
educatee. Why is it that the left always regard their own views as 'balanced' and
everyone else's as 'unbalanced'? What is it about the inherent rightness of
their own views that makes everyone else in need of being educated into their
own 'balance'? >> >> "Wrong. Being overweight doesn't present problems for 'society'. It produces

>> present problems for individuals and society. Read any reputable Australain
>> paper published on obesity to understand this simple point. Apparently the arguments that these elites use are too complicated for you to
present in this forum? Please Katie - you seem intent on giving us all some
educational 'balance' - please educate us on this topic. What problems does
obesity present to 'society'? >> Being an ill informed sexist bigot, means you are firstly, unlikely to get very
>> far within the world as few people will like or trust you ( particularly women
>> given your recent postings) In which case, there would be no need for you to argue the point in this forum.
If 'people like me' were actually unsuccessful in life, then 'the social
market' would take care of it. Feeling a little unsure of this? >> Further, there are laws within this country and
>> many others that do not allow for discrimination against women, gay people,
>> people from different cultures etc. Eventually you will be exposed as breaking
>> the law. Actually Katie it is possible to discriminate against all of those people
legally. Are any laws that make it illegal to choose friends, partners,
and business parters on the basis of those things? No. The law tries to
prevent discrimination in a few select things, which can be easily avoided. >> So you can understand this point - it means - One day you will piss
>> the wrong people off and be held accountable for your actions. Katie, Katie, do you think that someone as well acquainted with the rules about
discrimination will ever be caught out. Bear in mind that all matters of
discrimination are determined procedurally. You merely have to avoid making
racist/sexist/homophobic comments in the workplace, and justify your decisions
on other bases. It doesn't matter how powerful your unions, discrimination
boards or review panels are, when I spend my own money I can control it. >> I think you may have serious psychological (if not psychiatric issues ) and
>> have the option of seeking help. Well Katie, when I am single, impoverished, unemployed and up on a charge
before a discrimination tribunal of fat homosexual immigrant feminists, then
I promise to do just that. But until then, I really don't feel the need. >> Have a nice day Thanks - I am.
