Would it not matter more to you if it were a member of your immediate family?What about cousins?In-laws?Friend of a friend?.........if you follow this line for long enough you will come to fellow countrymen...then eventually onto fellow human beings.For some people the feeling of kinship ends at the family.For others(and probably most)it goes on to include those they mostly identify with.Its only natural that most Australians are effected more by 100 of 'their own' being murdered in Bali than 100 ________ being murdered somewhere else. Perhaps you just identify with humanity as a whole,with nothing inbetween?
