Most of spelling mistakes are easily corrected by spell-checker. Even foreign born IT engineer (not pointing to anyone particular!) can type something with very tolerable level of mistakes. Much worse is inability to properly structure and express one's thinking. And usually it comes from lack of thinking rather then inadequate level of language knowledge. PS.
