On that note, I have a friend in the Australian army who claims that the American special forces troops are generally only trained to the level of ordinary soldiers in the Australian or British army, and that the ordinary American soldiers are little more then a rabble with some good guns. He was also saying that on big American ships like carriers, the ship is divided into ethnic ghettos, and off duty sailors know not to stray or they will be overboard with their throat cut, and that most of the boat is a no-go zone for officers. It is supposedly normal for the ships to come back to port with half a dozen or so lost at sea cases. Take these stories with as many grains of salt as you like.
