If you want to argue that Police (and other government) internal investigations are not transparent enough, then I will agree with you. But you appear to have jumped to conclusions here. This is the story so far; Two cops rocked up to come house in rural WA for some reason. At an unknown location on the property, they met one bloke and two kids. All appeared to have been sniffing petrol or paint. The bloke had a lighter and some petrol with him. At some point during this the petrol spilt onto him. They had some interaction with this bloke. Some time later he began moving towards the cops. One cop shot a taser at him. Some time later he caught on fire. He was taken to hospital. That is my attempt at a fair and balanced view of the full story as has been reported so far. There are so many unknowns in that story that conclusions cannot be drawn. Perhaps the cops in question should have their statements or interview transcripts released for public consumption. That should put speculation to rest. Government departments do not do this, which is why I agree with your first point. I accept your points regarding police morality, but I don't this that they apply in this case.
