This is the way that the war on terror needs to be fought - sting operations. One of the great things about the way the cold war was won was that it wasn't done so much militarily, which would have proved nothing, but economically, which showed socialism to be an inferior system. By clearly demonstrating how a lack of (for want of a better word) "officiality" is actually a great disadvantage in conflict, the use of such tactics will ultimately decline.
