I wouldn't go so far to say that every jury wouldn't convict. Some people unfortunately, judge the rightness of an action on it's legality. Some people accept Abu Bakar Bashir's short sentecne, because it is the law. Some accpet the use of drugs as immoral because it is against the law. Unfortunately, some will accept a death sentence for jaywalking as right and applicable merely becuae it is a law. The imposition of such a law would result in corruption, dereliction of duty, vandalism of traffic lights and many convictions being overturned, until the Government of the day flip flopped. I would prefer privatised roads with civil sanctions for breaking the rules, and privatised arbitration. Judges in a Government should be elected. If they are not lawyers by trade, they can always recieve counsel. I would also prefer the aboltion of electoral funding and disclosure.
