IG, Don't forget that the Taliban and/or Osama have not yet surrendered. That is the traditional way of defining the end of a war, right? VJ Day is commemmorated on the day Japan gave us their unconditional surrender, although the war was pretty much over after Iwo Jima and Okinawa.
