Were they the charges that were dropped today? It seems that little niceties like presumption of innocence and due judicial process apply to everyone except One Nation members.

You don't think that an increase risk of terrorism undermines democracy?

Maybe you could indicate the person on this forum who has claimed they do.

No one is doubting that getting legal advice would be a good idea. Staying at home on September-11 2001 would have been a pretty good idea for some 3000 people too, but this doesn't justify the actions of 19 psychopaths any more than Hanson's ignorance of the law justifies the actions of the judiciary.

>> Any law student could have told Hanson that she was breaking the

Probably - too bad that Pauline Hanson spent her time running her fish and chip shop paying taxes to put the middle classes through law school instead of getting a law degree herself. Serves her right, eh?

I don't believe you are serious. Jurors

  • don't study the law, they are merely told what the judge's interpretation of the law is;
  • only get to see the evidence that the elite consider 'suitable' for the non-experts to see,
and perhaps more importantly
  • don't get to choose whether 'their peer' goes to prison.

.. that gets decided by the self-appointed elites.
