To throw in a possibly observation, I was fascinated by the sheer number of people apparently involved in the Bali bombing. Anyone who has visited relatively poor Asian nations (eg. Thailand) is likely to have noticed that there are often many more people involved in any undertaking than in the West. This is presumably because labour is cheap. In the US, a home-grown terrorist (McVeigh) achieves a similarly deadly outcome to the Bali terrorists, apparently operating with just one accomplice.
