Whether or not the government collecting taxes is good for you or not is a matter of opinion. That's a different issue. My question refers to motivation. You seem to be painting all pollies as being motivated largely, even solely, by power lust. Surely they can be motivated by a desire to serve in whatever manner they think most effective.
