>> The failure of the United Nations and the US to apply their collective will to
>> solving the Palestinian problem lies at the root of much of the hostillity we
>> see coming from Islamic extremists. Well, I'm always keen on jumping on the bandwagon of anything which
discredits the United
Nations, but I am a little puzzled why you blame the US. Let me get the logic straight. The US is to blame for not solving
the problems in another country? Right. And if my neighbor beats up
his wife I am to blame right? It's not my neighbors fault for beating up his
wife, it's my fault for not stopping him! If you want to say that the US is to blame for interfering in the
affairs of other countries, then we can have an intelligent debate (and I may
be more sympathetic to the view that you expect), but blaming A for not
stopping what B does to C is just silly. People are responsible for their
own actions - not the actions of other people. Society is not to blame, OK?
