Fiona: I know this must come as a shock to you, but a great majority of couples come together under the influence of alcohol. My best friend met his girlfriend on a night out a dance club. She vomited down the side of my friend's car on the way home. They got married last year and are expecting their first child in about 6 weeks. Both of them are much nicer people than you. I think you're disgusting, because you're a bigot. There's nothing wrong with alcohol, it's a social enabler and has been for millenia. Everybody knows that alcohol relaxes inhibitions and that's why everyone drinks it. For some women to turn around and say "I didn't consent because my inhibitions were loosened by alcohol and therefore I was raped" is what is really disgusting. Regardless of the fact that they are trying to blame someone else for their own poor decisions (and have them sent to prison for their trouble), how on earth are men supposed to tell the difference between someone who is "pleasantly drunk" and someone who is so drunk that they have no control of their mental faculties? Even police with breathalysers can't get that to hold up in court, which is why they only prosecute on BAC percentage.
