This ties in with an old post at catallaxyfiles, by Jason Soon I think. This man's analysis of Aboriginal history is very well reasoned and compelling. To see the way Aboriginals were becoming integrated before Federation, then were locked out and shabbily treated for decades, then they got the soft tyranny of welfarism, is very sad. As Jason noted on his blog, progress and integration was swept away with a stroke of a pen at Federation. I don't have a copy of the book Jason noted, but another of Reynolds. What say you, Jason?
