While we're at it, the time is ripe to take back the administration of PNG. The place is a basket case and costs us more in aid now than it did to run the place- an economic rationalisation if nothing else, and there are some good resource assets there as well that are falling apart. Independence was forced on the place by the UN long before they were capable of running the place.
(And yes, I have worked in both the Solomons and PNG).
