Saying Australia trains its forces better than the US is like saying Texas does. Australia has no real responsibility for world order, and as such can specialize in its contribution to the US (world) military force. As for the high moral ground, the US just keeps on delivering the goods. The system works better. There will be "embarassments" (that's Fox News language for what the state-funded BBC calls "atrocities"), but if we are to ever get the politicians off of our backs and out of our pockets, the freedom lovers of the US are going to have to continue to be (the) major players. Let those who wish to pay for defence (property security) pay for it. Let the market decide.
