Strawman, try reading Gerard Hendersons recent article about some of K Packers views on economics. Get it straight - Packer made his much of his fortune in broadcasting, one of the most regulated and uncompetitive sectors of our economy. As with so many of our most successful merchants and 'entrepreneurs', Kerry liked competitive markets to supply inputs, but government decrees to control and limit the amount of competition he faced when selling his outputs. Nothing consistent with professed ALS principles there, so why your fawning accolades for the man? I fear the ALS interest in "free markets" is a ruse. Right and left wing commentators rarely understand the difference between private ownership of capital and competitive markets. Some things never change.
