ummm.... if Abu Bakar Bashir is not a terrorist leader, then it is not simply the law but common sense that says he shouldn't be convicted of being a terrorist leader. For all of it's virtues, I'm not sure that trial by media is the best way of determining guilt. This seems to be a running problem with the whole war on terror. Apparently, it is OK to kill terrorists and the only proof required is that you are accused and get some bad press. I mean - if we skip the press and the kangaroo courts, then we can just have people walking up and down the streets shooting people and pointing out afterwards that they looked sorta dodgy. And as long as the shooter is from the government - people are happy.
