The essence of the agreements is that they are based on the legislation and *culture* of the countries providing the children (read Third World countries). If you believe that they are willing to recognise homosexual couples as fit parents you are either from another planet or bordering stupidity. Another completely different issue is if you believe that homosexual couples should be entitled to adopt children. In the case of adoption I would turn the argument around. Given that adoption is primarily aimed to benefit the children, would this adoption be on the children's best interest? The fact that you may want to put homosexual potential adoptive parents in the same footing as homosexuals is of benefit to the parents not the children.
