As for IG's statement that this immigration is illegal - that justifies every law on the books, doesn't it? There are many laws they you (and I) don't like. How often do you break them? While I find drug prohibition stupid and unfair, it does not mean that I respect drug dealers. I will always keep them in low esteem and would never trust them. In free society it means avoiding trade with them and applying highest level of caution. Same apply to other categories of law breaking. I would not expect people who start their stay in Australia by breaking law (which you might see as unjust law) to be law abiding citizens when it comes to more important cases
