Anonymous Coward assumes, wrongly, that the amount of money made is directly related to work effort. In fact, it relates to a variety of factors - including genetic gifts, socialisation etc, of which work effort is only one. And even then, propensity to work hard may itself been seen as an gift rather than as something the individual has control over. The upshot is that money earned is dependent much more on things the individual has no control over than on what she can affect. Thus, YES!, generally you SHOULD indeed be required to subsidise the homes and/or those with less money than yourself. VOR - TheVoiceOfReason
