Ok... here we go... In the cause you suggested (where you disregarded my angle of the bomber using the backpack might break his fall, suggesting probablility of saving life almost nill....) In your examples there is almost 100 percent probability of causing an accident?
And there is a -97% chance of saving their life... this would suggest a -9700% chance of saving your life.. Which we will bring as PSYL -97.0 Money paid can be -$1000 again... VOYL would then = - 1000/ - 97 = +$10.3 wow... agreed, thats pretty crappy...
------------- But i stil think in the use of this formula, the probability of saving your life is next to nill... (yes Mr abuse an education, i do know about negative numbers, but i dont agree they are Appropriate here.. I think the chance of a bomb saving someones life is absolutly small... (who know what would happen, but its not very likly to save his life is it?...) The chances of this occuring could be either aproaching 100% or approaching 1% depending on how you view it. (as an accident or whatever.) I am not going to debate whether its 100 or 1 or less, becuase it makes little difference to the value of PSYL...
which would still relativly be approaching zero or infinately small.... (even if not infinately small, still way damn small..) Therefore PSYL = infinately small... MP = -$1000 this suggest that the VOYL would be = infinately large..... but NEGATIVE/// so that could be -$10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000.... This is why i also made the joke in my last post that your negative probabilities fixed the flaws in my original and still SATIRICAL comments... I hope this has cleared it up for you buddy. As i said, my original comments were flawed with the negative, i previously knew that, but you fixed it up for my by bringing up such marvelous negative probabilities...
