The US does it: "petty stories like the mistreatment of a few prisoners" Iraq does it: "barbaric dictator who we must overthrow" Every penny realised from oil sales goes to the reconstruction of Iraq. Reconstruction from what? Cyclone? Earthquake? I think it's probably about the war. And who would pay this reconstruction bill if the Iraqis don't? Bingo! The war is only a good idea if the benefits exceed the costs. The costs are large, simply in terms of dollars. The benefits are possibly related to: (1) WMDs; (2) terrorism links; (3) humanitarian projects. It's not looking good. My advice to you, if you want to keep believing in the virtue of war - ignore all arguments and avoid rational discussion at any cost. Stick to broad & empty rhetoric and attack the characters of the people who disagree with you.
