Strawman, it doesn't matter what Simon says about the illegality or otherwise of invading Iraq. That it IS illegal is pretty much indisputable, despite the warmongers' best efforts, and nothing Howard or Crean says will make an iota of difference in that respect. You are right that the troops don't get off scot free, as the Nuremberg trials established, and Bland Simon is wrong on this count. But the crime remains a crime, whatever Simon Crean says or doesn't say. Howard's denials of breaking international law count for nothing, Crean's admittance of same count for nothing, as it is the actions of the armed forces and the Government that matter.
