The media concentrate on petty stories like the mistreatment of a few prisoners, without even verifying that the pictures are genuine. They push these subversive stories while ignoring the positive overview. The UN was right about wmd because they knew it was a ploy to keep up their criminal exploitation of the Oil for Food debacle. What about a comparable enthusiasm for the story on the efforts of the coalition in successfully protecting from terrorists the 2m barrel a day Iraqi production outlet? Every penny realised from oil sales goes into the Iraqi economy, instead of into the coffers of the coalition of the criminal, the UN and Saddam and cohorts, as it did before the US and allied victory. The records of this debacle are now in the hands of the allied backed Iraqi authorities. The truth is coming out about the Saddam backers who opposed the invasion, incuding UN, France and Germany. To continue to whine about lack of wmd, or to allege that the moral high ground lies anywhere but with the US is laughable. Jock Lenehan
