Oops - a typo which has now been corrected. Thanks.

>> Although you aren't breaking a contract, is it reasonable to say
>> you are assisting someone else breaking hers (though I guess this depends on
>> how likely she's going to break her contract without your help)?

Yes, you may be helping her to break her contract - depending on what her contract is. She may, or may not, have an 'understanding' about such matters. How much persuasion you use, and how much you learn about her domestic 'understandings' affects this. If you simply let it be known that you are available, your charm wit and good looks may well do the trick without any further persuasion at all. And taking absolutely no interest in her domestic arrangements works pretty well too.

To address your other point - how likely she is going to do with without your help is not really relevant if you regard assistance as immoral anyway. "But Your Honour, he would have robbed the bank whether I helped him or not" is hardly justification.

As an aside, I saw an ex- about two months ago. She was coming out of a restaurant around lunch-time with a man who was taller than me, better looking, better dressed, younger, and who probably made more money ... and there was another reason I didn't like him :) ..

Anyway, the point was that they were coming out of a restaurant with almost no street view in a suburb which was a considerable distance from both where she lives, and where she (or her husband) work(ed). It was the same suburb where she and I used to have lunch - but her favorite restaurant down the street was closed for renovations, so she had presumably chosen the nearest 'secluded' restaurant.

I saw her and smiled. She saw me and looked away. She was clearly up to her old tricks, and didn't come over to speak to me.
