You have it all wrong as must be usual for the likes of... a zealot.
The Brit might run up to see if any cigarettes were thrown out; the American would pull a gun for a car jacking or curse the rich, depending on the neighbourhood. No American except a fake on the TV would conceive of owning a British car as a trophy, an Italian fast car maybe, while the Cadillac is way out of style, and the comment just shows another Aussie has been slurping up American propaganda that is a generation old. From what I have seen of Australia on the tube , an Aussia would rub his eyes and swear to stop drinking, again, or swear, again, to emigrate as soon as he gets some money. By and large I think it is the Aussies that covert, and the Brits just hunch their shoulders against the rain and stumble along, while the Americans get meaner every day. In all this confusion and empty headed envy only Canadians carry the banners of civilization.
