» Who's Water is it Anyway?   2008-03-08 19:12 Anonymous Coward

In Australia the Governments would have you believe that all water is vested in the 'Crown'. Of course that's absolute nonsense: Why? Well in 1919 Australia became an independent sovereign nation recognised by all world nations, and all rights to water became the property of the independent sovereign peoples of the Commonwealth of Australia the instant that this was achieved. LEST WE FORGET; Over 61,720 men and women of our armed forces died during WW1 for our independence. And don't forget that the POMS now describe us Australians as aliens since 1972 when they introduced their "Immigration Act 1972 UK". Here is a good question for everyone to ask:

"How could a Colony now acknowleged by all world nations to be an independent sovereign nation retain exactly the same legal and political system it enjoyed as a Colony without any change to the basis for law."
