Not questioning your theory, just your maths. :-p IF i create a PERFECT piece of life saving matter (100% effective), and say you are still only willing to pay $1000 for it, is then your life is only worth $10? I don?t know about you, but my noggin is worth more than $10... I am not sure, but with your sum, the crappier the life saving device (or the more it costs your for the same effect) the more your are worth? (or the more it costs your for the same effecting result)
this brings into mind all the nuts out there who are willing to take a risk and a gamble. All the crazy kids you mentioned who just can't resist throwing little rocks at one bigger rock can rest assured. Not only do they NOT waste their money on useless inventions like ?air bag?, but because they are not willing to invest in the new fancy life saving technology (settling for a wooden shield) they must be all standing around with billion dollar prices on their head!
And this is even more interesting when we incorporate the suicide bombers, these guys are often paid to carry around their "life saving device". (Although its not going to save them unless it breaks their fall)
However, their device has an almost zero percent chance of saving their life (we will say infinitely small?) which would result in an infinitely large figure for their value of life... Now the big questions;
is some nut fanatic out their only blowing people up because they see the opportunity to be valued so highly before god...?
