Typically the user will start with a bad event (pestilence, plague, famine, war), and recursively trace the causes back until they find a white male, and then proclaim 'there's the problem!'

The logical mind allows an exponentially exploding number of causes for any event as the causes are traced back further and further.

This technique is frequently used to blame the problems of third world countries on the first world. Most areas of the world have been controlled by a (now) first world country at some stage. All of the problems of a poorer country can be blamed on the richer country. Any event which occurs in the present can have the causal link traced back to some policy or action of a colonial power, hence they can be blamed for all the country's problems.

The chain blame game is also a common arguing strategy employed by feminists.

The logic is leftist logic, because blame always goes to the West (East to West, or Middle East to West, never the other way around). Other parts of the world are immune.
