D: Someone acting in their own interests instead of acting in yours.

A more rational description of this behavior is selfishness or insatiability. In reality everyone acts in their own interests - some people just choose to deny the fact, and attempt to disguise it. The philanthropist giving away his money is actually buying good will - either from the direct recipients, who will think he is a good bloke, or from potential customers who will see a more 'compassionate' face.

Ranting about greed and racism are popular past times of the left. Usually they refuse to see the logic in the reality that greed is a more powerful motivator than racism, sexism, or most other -isms. Given a choice between being racist, being sexist or making money, the capitalists they complain about will choose the money nearly every time. Racists and sexists in a 'greedy' capitalist society make themselves poor.
