What continues to astound me is the number of befuddled people who presumably went through a minimum of 10 or 12 years at school yet seriously believe that if the elected leaders of democracies (US, Australia, UK and others) can only get the OK from three dictorships and kleptocracies, and maybe a further slap on the back from Somalia, Syria, Zimbabwe et al, then a war which they currently purport to be immoral will then become moral. What is more, if you try to point this out to them, they get huffy. The UN is clanking away down the grim corridor of irrelevance even as we key in our comments. Within five years, it will be a dim memory.
