The line between scence and religion however is disputable. The problem is that from high school onwards, schools are teaching many 'higher concepts' that overlap with religion, morality and worldview. For instance, the decision about what to focus on in history is incredibly loaded. The school system is not a neutral teacher of facts - the information presented assumes that certain things are true and important and oters are not. Religion is just one aspect of this problem. I received a lot more marxism and environmentalism in school than libertarianism, thats for sure. This problem was pointed out by some early american critics of public education who saw this outcome as inevitable once public funding of secondary schooling went ahead.
