Taiwan should have declared independence years ago - but the stubborn bastards were still claiming that they should rule mainland China! Now the balance of power is shifting. If they don't declare independence soon - then they may never get it. Indeed, given recent american comments, it may already be too late. A shame really - because the entire 'one china' policy is based on the same racist principle that drove Hitler (minus the killing of Jews).
