>> I think it is being overly optimistic to suggest that
>> political correctness has "collapsed". I think the truth is somewhere in between. Democracy, by
definition, is rule by the mob, and 51% of the voters will
set the agenda for the rest. Institutions work in a similar
way - once the 'dominant paradigm' changes, then all the
pathetic bureacrats suddenly find that their promotional
interests are served by singing a different song. Unfortunately there are some areas in which the old paradigms of political correctness are so engrained that
it will be years before things change. The Family Law Court
is the most obvious example. However, as the domininant paradigm changes in the rest of
the community, a 'right leaning' government will find itself
with a freer hand to take more decisive action against these
revolting little cesspits of leftism. As for the leftist education system - that will collapse as soon as
a voucher system is introduced. And a voucher system will
come as soon as 51% of children are attending private schools. The militant freedom-hating teachers unionists are carrying the seeds of their own destruction.
And I'm going to enjoy watching it.
