Well the street value may have been that much. Obviously a similar amount will be worth much more now. Any moron can see how cheap drugs are - e.g, 96 tablets for less than $20. When they are legal. Do some people really think chemists find it that much harder to produce one drug over another? And anyway, the demand for headache tablets would be greater in a free market. Whose to say that some corrupt copper isn't going to take a cut in the increased profits of the dealer who isn't in jail?
