treatment because of needs created by their failure to understand local
culture, then I agree. But please don't say say it's their right to create
need, and then their right to be rewarded for that need out of my pocket. A client company of mine recently received a job application from someone with
a Muslim name (yes, one of the very common ones), which began 'A
prayer for a job.' They didn't feel very inclined to employ him, I don't
feel very inclined to pay him unemployment benefits. That is simply not the way
business is done here. Attempting to get a job that way is his right, as long
he doesn't expect me to pay for his failure to do so.
