>> Poverty, lack of education and employment opportunities are key factors in
>> crime rates. Lefties simply say it is more efficient and humanitarian to
>> pre-emptively attack the problem than wait for it to be a profitable
>> opportunity for a few to deal with much bigger problems. Starting to slither a bit here: "these are key factors in
crime rates"? Do you mean causal factors? Or is that asking
for a bit too much analysis? Well, yes, criminals are less likely to make the sacrifices necessary to
bother educating themselves or actually getting out of bed every morning to get
a job - it's easier for them to just take the wealth that other people produce.
And it's even easier under a left-wing government committed to so called
'wealth distribution'. The more crime people commit, the more theft
is needed to combat it. Lefties say "poverty causes crime". Intelligent people say "crime causes
poverty". Lefties believe that government theft (through taxes) reduces crime.
Intelligent people believe that wealth gets created by allowing people to keep
the wealth they create.
