I'm not an apologist at all -- I find them quite annoying as a group personally. I was just disputing your facts. I also wasn't saying wives of white Frenchman -- I was saying wives of other Arabs/Africans, whose children I am sure are rioting now. I very much doubt that the majority of them came as guest workers at all -- they came for all sorts of reasons, not least of which includes family reasons (as is true of Australia's immigration policy -- the majority of people have not come over in the "worker of some typd" category). This is one of the problems of immigration -- you don't only get the people you want to let in initially. Perhaps you live in a different Australia or France as me, but when was the last time the average 18 year old male listened to "Christian" or "Muslim" leaders telling them what to do ? I think they have no influence whatsoever.
