In which case you clearly know nothing about libertarian philosophy, bar a few slogans you've obviously picked up from socialists. The welfare state has done far more to unravel our social fabric than the absence of government regulations and low taxes ever did (see the 19th century). Indeed, it is precisely because the government has a stake in destroying the bonds of society and forcing people into dependence upon the state that Christians should want to smash the state.
